This is ANOTHER CD that stays in my truck and is listened to almost every day. I first met Bill and Patti at the Celitc Cup in Oklahoma City and was blown away at their playing. Bill is probably one of the smoothest fiddle players I've ever heard and Patti's guitar is right there with him never missing a beat. It's like they can read each others minds on changes, tempo's, and beats.
I ran into them again at Fiddlers Dream in Kingston Oklahoma December 2006 and picked up a copy of Traditional Blend. The title is very appropriate because the tunes they have recorded are indeed a blend of traditional Irish, Scottish, Appalachian, and Mexican tunes, each played as if you were hearing it played in the countries and regions they represent.
If you ever get the chance to hear Bill and Pattie in person you won't want to miss it but until that opportunity comes I highly recomend getting one of their CD's. They have a new one out but I've not heard it yet.
